Alami is officially registered at the OJK

JAKARTA - On April 30, PT Alami Fintek Sharia has been officially registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as a shariah based P2P fintech company.

Based on OJK publication data, until April 2019, there were only 3 registered Islamic fintech companies from a total of 106 companies in which more than 100 other companies served conventional financing. With Alami official registration at OJK, it also adds alternative financing services for SME players in Indonesia who need usury-free financial services by adopting sharia principles.

Dima Djani, CEO of Alami said that with Alami registration in the OJK it was the first step in fulfilling eligibility qualifications as an accountable P2P sharia financing service provider under the supervision of OJK. "As a company with a business model based on sharia values, Alami prioritizes compliance with regulators and the value of benefit for the parties involved as a mandate from the stakeholders we hold firm. This mandate includes how Alami becomes a link that ensures that the lender and recipient of the financing get fair benefits," said Dima.

In 2019, Alami targets its P2P sharia financing business to channel financing of Rp 80 billion. To achieve the target, Alami seeks to improve services, one of them is by optimizing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for easy and user-friendly access. In addition, Alami also educates the target market through social media content that is packaged in languages ​​that are easy to understand and relevant to everyday issues. In addition to online marketing strategies, Alami will also conduct offline marketing by working with SME communities as beneficiaries or the general public as funders. (LM)
