Surya Semesta still has to pay its bonds amidst slow performance

JAKARTA. PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) still need to make the payment of the Surya Semesta Internusa Shelf Registration Bonds I Phase I/2016, which will mature in September, worth Rp 530 billion

Johannes Suriadjaja, President Director of SSIA, was reluctant to give any information when asked by IDNfinancials.com on Tuesday (7/5). In its annual financial report, SSIA's net profit only reached Rp. 37.67 billion. While in the first quarter (Q1) of this year, SSIA did not record a net profit growth because it suffered a loss of Rp 10.88 billion.

PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) has given an idA- (Single A Minus) rating for the bonds. The rating will be valid for the period of 11 March 2019 to 1 March 2020. The company also pledged a portion of its assets as guarantee, such as 903 apartment units in West Jakarta and 627.28 thousand square meters of land in Karawang.

The SSIA Board of Directors also has not yet ascertained the source of funds for the payment of the bonds, as well as what steps the company will take to repay them. (KR/AR)
