JAKARTA. Food and beverage companies in Salim Group, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, PT ICBP and PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) recorded positive performance in the first quarter of 2019.
PT Indofood (INDF) managed to generate Rp 19.16 trillion in revenue in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019. This figure is 8.67% higher than its record in the same quarter of last year of Rp 17, 63 trillion. INDF also recorded profit growth of 13.5% to Rp 1.34 trillion. In the same period last year, INDF's profit was recorded at Rp.1.18 trillion.
Meanwhile, ICBP was able to generate Rp. 11.25 trillion of revenue, 13.8% higher than its record in Q1 2018 of Rp 9.8 trillion. ICBP was also able to record profit growth of 9.9% to Rp 1.33 trillion from its record in Q1 2018 of Rp.1.21 trillion.
Another company in Salim Group that have scored impressive performance in the first quarter of 2019 are PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk. ROTI's revenue grew by 21,79% to Rp. 791, 72 billion, compared to its record in Quarter I-2018 of Rp. 650.06 billion. Meanwhile, its profit also grew significantly by 123.23%, from Rp. 29.05 billion to Rp. 64.85 billion. (AM/AR)
