JAKARTA - Revenue of PT Surya Internusa Tbk (SSIA) in the first quarter recorded a slight decline of 9.4% to Rp 823.7 billion. In the same period last year, the company managed to record revenues of up to Rp 909.3 billion.
This decrease was caused by a decline in revenue from the construction segment by 14.6%, while revenue from the property and hospitality segment grew 4.2% and 7% respectively.
The largest contribution to revenue came from the construction segment by 71%, followed by hotel 20% and property 9%. SSIA's gross margin rose 2.7% to 23% at the end of the first quarter, but EBITDA fell 4% to Rp 72.6 billion.
At the end of the period, SSIA had to record a net loss of Rp 10.9 billion or an increase of 23.7% from the loss experienced in the same period last year of Rp 8.8 billion. (LM)
