Adaro Energy teams up with Adhi Karya to work on drinking water project in Dumai

JAKARTA - PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) through its subsidiary PT Adaro Tirta Mandiri (ATM) has signed a partnership agreement on a drinking water project in Dumai, Riau with PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI). The project is valued at Rp 400 billion.

“The agreement with Adhi Karya [was signed] on April 15. We own 45% shares, with [Adhi Karya] owning the majority,” said Adaro Power Vice President Director Dharma Djojonegoro as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (15/5).

In the project, ATM and Adhi Karya are also partnering the local Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) with a build, operate, and transfer (BOT) scheme. The project, which has a capacity of 200 litres per second, is targeted to be completed this year.

Currently ATM owns three water-processing facilities in Gresik, Banjar, and Sampit. The Gresik facility has a capacity of 400 litres per second while the Banjar facility has a capacity of 500 litres per second and the Sampit facility has a capacity of 300 litres per second. (MS)
