JAKARTA. The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of PT Airline Reasuransi Indonesia Tbk (Marein) approved the distribution of 18.38% of the company's total net profit in 2018 of Rp 140.86 billion, or Rp 25.88 billion. Each shareholder will receive dividends of Rp 50 per share.
Furthermore, President Director of PT Marein Tbk, Robby Loho said that the remaining Rp. 114 billion would be included as the company's retained earnings.
Those who are entitled to receive dividends are those whose names are registered in the List of Shareholders (DPS) on 12 June 2019 and dividends will be paid on 21 June 2019.
Robby explained that the company's net profit in 2018 declined by 12.5% from the record in 2017 (Rp 161.1 billion). Declining profits was due to falling underwriting results and investment returns, along with the decline recorded by the industry.
The profit obtained by the company in 2018 reached 72% of the target set at Rp 180 billion. (AM/AR)
