JAKARTA. PT Bumi Citra Permai Tbk (BCIP) generated Rp 50.19 billion in net profit in 2018, 5.6% lower than its record in the previous year (Rp 53.53 billion).
Handry Soesanto, Director of BCIP, said that the decline in net profit was mainly caused by the increase in the company's tax burden in 2018 by 25.52%. The tax burden borne by the company in 2018, said Soesanto, increased to Rp. 2.64 billion. "Compared to 2017, when it was only Rp 2.1 billion," said Soesanto on Friday (24/5) to idnfinancials.com in writing.
In its annual financial report, BCIP recorded large increase in its tax, including in the tax on corporate income (24.26%) to Rp 1.69 billion. While the income tax of BCIP's subsidiaries rose by 27.34% to Rp 952.65 million.
In terms of revenue, BCIP recorded growth of 6.14% in 2018 to Rp 200.66 billion. Meanwhile, in the previous year, BCIP's revenue was only Rp. 189.04 billion. (KR/AR)
