JAKARTA. PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) postponed the work of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road project to prevent congestion during the homecoming of Eid 2019.
Subakti Syukur, General Manager of Jasa Marga, Jakarta-Cikampek Branch, said that his party believed that the traffic during the homecoming of Eid this year could be smoother. "The work at the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road has been stopped, this will certainly be useful for road users who want to go home and return," said Syukur at the beginning of this week, through a written statement.
Syukur added that the action was done after his party received an appeal from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT). JSMR also prepares traffic engineering, by implementing one-way lane policy on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road and on the Pejagan-Pemalan toll road
A one-way policy will be applied specifically to small-sized vehicles, with a maximum speed of 80 kilometres per hour. (KR/AR)
