JAKARTA - Indonesia AirAsia recorded a 100% seat load factor during the 2019 Eid-ul-Fitr holiday season.
PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP) Director of Commercial Rifai Taberi said the airline’s seat load factor was only full on departure flights or one-way routes. “Which means that up to seven days until Eid [the load factor] out of Jakarta was 100%, while [the load factor] into Jakarta was 8%. It became the other way around on the seventh day after Eid,” Mr Taberi told Kontan.co.id, Friday (7/6).
Mr Taberi added that for this year’s Eid Indonesia AirAsia operated 138 extra flights from May 29 to June 13, 2019. To prepare the holiday season, the airline also acquired one new Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
Until the first quarter of 2019, Indonesia AirAsia operated 24 aircraft. During the period, there were 2,126,700 available seats with a 87% load factor. (MS)
