JAKARTA - PT Pelayaran Tamarin Samudra Tbk (TAMU) agreed to synergize its operations with PT Duta Lintas Transportasi (DLT), a ship brokerage company. The distribution of operational benefits is 60% for the company and 40% for DLT.
Based on the disclosure of company information, the agreement was signed on 19 June 2019. The agreement is valid until 2022 and the currency used is US dollars (US$). DLT will provide the ships and TAMU will handle all operational activities and provide crews.
The company operates two types of vessels, anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) (1 unit), and accommodation work barges (AWB) (5 units). AHTS is a type of vessel used to support offshore activities or oil rig placement. In some cases, AHTS can also be used to transport rig workers and store the equipment needed in the rig. Meanwhile, AWB is a type of vessel used as accommodation for offshore workers during their working period. (LK/AR)
