To boost revenue, Kedaung Indah will increase exports this year

JAKARTA - To spur revenue, PT Kedaung Indah Can Tbk (KICI) has prepared several strategies. One of the company's strategies is to expand the domestic and export markets. For the domestic market, the company will focus on can products and for the export market the company will focus on enamel products.

"We’re doing it in various ways, through international exhibitions in various countries, especially America, because our largest market is America," said Hadi Mulyono, Director of KICI.

The company has participated in various exhibitions in America, one of which is the Chicago Fair. In addition, the company also approaches several new customers in America, especially in the modern retail segment such as Target.

For information, the total sales of KICI in 2018 were recorded at Rp 86.92 billion. This figure is still dominated by the domestic market of Rp 69.28 billion and the remaining Rp 17.65 billion from the export market. Based on sales segment, contribution from enamel sales was recorded at Rp 57.17 billion and contributions from can sales amounted to Rp 29.75 billion.

At the end of the first quarter, sales of Kedaung Indah were recorded at Rp 25.37 billion, up from the same period last year of Rp 20.41 billion. From this figure, domestic sales were recorded at Rp 22.26 billion and export sales amounted to Rp 3.11 billion. (LM)
