Bumi Teknokultura aims to increase its revenue by 15%

JAKARTA - PT Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (BTEK), a cocoa company, aiming to increase its sales revenue by 10% -15% this year. In 2018, the company generated Rp 890.04 billion in revenue. 

As quoted from the company's public expose sheet, the company will produce new products to get added value and also to meet market demand. The company produces cocoa fat and cocoa powder, while its raw materials are purchased from export and domestic markets.

Management is optimistic that its target can be achieved due to the increase in the consumption of cocoa in several countries, such as China, India, and Indonesia. In the domestic market, food and rice producers have produced lots of cocoa raw materials. The company has the potential to increase production capacity since its plant utilization is not at the maximum level yet. (LK/AR)
