KemenPUPR increases its infrastructure development budget to Rp 120 trillion

16 July 2019 06:43

JAKARTA. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) increased its budget for infrastructure development in 2020 from Rp 103 trillion to Rp 120 trillion.

This is in line with the government's desire to connect various regions by connecting large infrastructure with small industrial areas, and special economic zones.

"(The budget of) Ministry of PUPR from Rp 103 trillion has now become Rp 120 trillion," said Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono at the presidential palace, Jakarta, on Monday (15/7/2019).

The fund, said Basuki, will be used for the development of markets, education and sports facilities. The allocation is still likely to change, as the 2020 state budget is still being discussed. (AM/AR)
