Gojek partners with LazisNU to provide digital alms platform

JAKARTA. Gojek has signed a partnership agreement with LazisNU, a charity belonging to the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama, to provide alms facilities through the Go-Pay digital platform.

Astrid Kusumawardhani, Vice President of Public Affairs at Gojek, said that this collaboration is expected to increase the total charity, infaq, and alms funds collected by LazisNu. "Through this collaboration with LazisNU, we believe we can accelerate the acceleration of digital-based economic growth in Indonesia," Kusumawardhani said when met by idnfinancials.com on Tuesday (16/7).

On the same occasion, Achmad Sudrajat, Chair of LazisNU, said this collaboration was in line with LazisNU's vision in utilizing various digital payment facilities, for charity and paying zakat. "

Meanwhile, Winny Triswandhani, Go-Pay's Head of Corporate Communication, said that through this collaboration, people can give alms and pay zakat by scanning the available QR Code. Until now, Triswandhani said there were 1,800 donations made through LazisNU's QR code. (KR)
