Hajj buses are used to promote Indonesian products

JEDDAH. The Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah, use the Hajj buses for groups from Indonesia as a means of promoting non-oil and gas products from Indonesia.

Gunawan, Head of ITPC Jeddah, said that such kind of promotion could optimize Indonesia's export potential to Saudi Arabia. "ITPC and the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah also synergized to take advantage of this moment to encourage the use of Indonesian products in hajj catering, transportation, and accommodation," Gunawan explained through an official statement received by idnfinancials.com on Wednesday (17/7) today.

ITPC Jeddah explained that there were 10 bus units to transport hajj groups from Indonesia used to promote Indonesian products. Each bus operates 24 hours to transport the hajj group on the Makkah-Masjidil Haram route. 

Meanwhile, M Hery Saripudin, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah said that the total number of participants of the Hajj pilgrimage was 3 million, with 231 thousand of them are from Indonesia. (KR/AR)
