Garuda Indonesia teams up with Indosat Ooredoo to optimize digital transformation

CENGKARENG - National airline Garuda Indonesia and Indosat Ooredoo are collaborating in an effort to optimize digital transformation through technology development in the line of services and operations of Garuda Indonesia.

This synergy was marked by the signing of the cooperation (parent cooperation) conducted by the President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Ari Askhara together with the Director and Chief Innovation & Regulatory Officer of PT Indosat Tbk., Arief Musta'in, located at Garuda Indonesia head office (22/7).

President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Ari Askhara, explained that the signing was one of the Company's efforts to realize digital transformation commitments specifically to improve efficiency, productivity and service to customers through technology development which is currently being carried out by all lines of business of the Company.

"We are optimistic that the presence of technology services developed by Indosat Ooredoo will be an innovation step for Garuda Indonesia in adjusting the needs of current market conditions that prioritize speed and personalization on the basis of information technology while enhancing “The New Flight Experience” for service users starting from pre-journey to post-journey.”

The scope of cooperation includes the provision of "Hajj Tracker" in the form of a Smart Wristband as a solution to the needs of Hajj and Umrah congregations equipped with multifunctional dashboards ranging from GPS, SOS button, to health tracker, implementation of Inventory on Board applications using digital tablets for the initial stage, development "Smart Warehouse" for enhancing Garuda Indonesia's cargo services, as well as providing Cloud PABX, SD-WAN, and Managed Cloud security services.
