JAKARTA - PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) today announced its financial performance for the period ended on June 30, 2019. Net sales rose by 7.2% to Rp 38.61 trillion from Rp 36 trillion in the same period last year.
INDF's operating profit increased 5.5% to Rp 4.79 trillion with operating profit margin of 12.4%. Net income also increased 30.1% on an annual basis from Rp 1.96 trillion to Rp 2.55 trillion at the end of the first semester of this year.
Anthoni Salim, President Director and CEO of INDF said, "We are delighted to be able to record a good performance in the first semester of 2019, in which this good achievements have been contributed by the CBP group including the holiday period that just passed. Although the challenges of declining CPO prices have put pressure on the performance of the Agribusiness Group, we still believe in positive results in the rest of the year by maintaining our competitive advantage through increased productivity and cost control."
