JAKARTA - PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama Tbk (JKON) recorded a Rp 19.76 billion loss in the first semester I-2019, having posted a Rp 7.46 billion profit in the same period last year.
Nevertheless, based on the company’s 1H financial statements JKON managed to post revenue growth of 24.62% year on year (yoy) to Rp 1.67 trillion. The company’s loss in the first half of the year was caused by delays in several projects due to the 2019 general election.
“Some of our strategic projects are still ongoing, and some will be carried out in the third and fourth quarters. For example, the Jakarta sidewalk development project is ongoing but more work will be done in the third and fourth quarters,” JKON Corporate Secretary Hardjanto Agus Priambodo told Kontan.co.id, Thursday (1/8).
Going forward, said Mr Priambodo, JKON plans to seek single-year projects with private companies to boost investment value, revenue, and project development pace. (MS)
