Indonesia AirAsia to launch rights issue to raise public ownership

JAKARTA. PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP) plans to launch a rights issue to increase public ownership in the airline, which currently stands at 2.63%.

Indonesia AirAsia Head of Corporate Secretary Indah Permatasari Saugi said that the airline will provide more details regarding the plan after it completes stages such as due diligence, the first semester financial statements, and an EGM.

"It takes various stages and time," said Ms Saugi in an information disclosure received by IDNFinancials.com, Thursday (8/8).

Currently the trade of CMPP shares is still being suspended by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with the suspension having been in place since the first session on Wednesday (7/8). On Tuesday (6/8), CMPP's stock price was closed at Rp 184 per share as it had been in the previous session. (KR/MS)
