13 August 2019 14:52

JAKARTA. PT Hutama Karya (Persero) recorded a 100% growth in net profit compared to the same period last year to Rp 1.105 trillion in semester I-2019.

Muhammad Fauzan, Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, revealed that the company's outstanding performance in semester I could not be separated from the improvements that were carried out continuously in every line of business. "One of them is in the field of procurement and also the implementation of Building Information Management (BIM)," he said as quoted by kontan.co.id Friday (9/8).

He said that until now, his party continued to use the BIM method since early 2018.

This method enables project implementers to obtain information about project development more accurately at each development cycle or stage with better analysis and control than manual work, which saves cost and time.

Then from the supply chain management sector, the company continues to improve its procurement system. According to Fauzan, after centralizing procurement in 2018, both in the business unit and its subsidiary, Hutama Karya then strengthened by forming a strategic partnership in order to build good relations and verify selected vendors that have been carried out since July to September 2019.

"The procurement centralization process has proven to be able to produce efficiencies in the cost of goods sold which can be reduced by 83.18% in 1H 2019. Our HPP is better than the same period in 2017, which was still 91.10%," he explained. (AM/AR)
