Hary Tanoe now has more than 5% stake in MNC Land

JAKARTA. Owner of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesedibjo, purchased around 2.78 billion of PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG) shares, which makes his stake increases to more than 5%. The transaction was done at a price of Rp 90 per share,  when the share price on that day was in the range of Rp 133-Rp 135.

Harry Tanoe made the purchase a day before KPIG's share price jumped to Rp 161 per share.

Based on data from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), Harry Tanoe's name appears in reports of ownership of securities of 5% or more as of 14 August 2019.

The KSEI report stated that Hary Tanoe has a 3.75 billion shares in MNC Land (KPIG). This amount is equivalent to 5.06% of the total MNC Land shares. In fact, in the KSEI report for 13 August 2019, Hary Tanoe's name was not listed there yet. 

Based on the monthly report of registration of shareholders released by MNC Land on 9 August, Hary Tanoe was listed to have 975.87 million of MNC Land shares. This amount is equivalent to 1.32% of total MNC Land shares.

The purchase was supposedly made on 13 August 2019, because, on that day, there were transactions of 2.78 billion MNC Land shares on the negotiating market. The number of shares traded on the negotiated market is the same as the number of additional MNC Land shares purchased by Hary Tanoe.

As of 30 July 2019, MNC Land's shareholders were MNC Investama with 18.57% stake, HT Investment Development Ltd (11.85%), UOB Kay Huan Hongkong Ltd (10%) and MNC Media Investment Ltd (7.41%). (AM/AR)
