Bank Jatim targets credit growth at 9.5%

20 August 2019 12:19

JAKARTA - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (BJTM) is targeting credit growth in 2019 to be 9.5%. In a press conference today, BJTM directors said that the Financial Services Authority raised its credit target at 10.5%.

BJTM Finance Director Ferdian Timur S. said, "Lastly, it was almost 9%, but it could be more because there is potential in corporate credit."

Credit expansion that has potential in East Java is the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi toll road. Ferdian said that there is potential in the range of Rp 1 trillion - Rp 1.2 trillion for BUMN projects and toll road projects.

BJTM President Director, Hadi Santoso explained that BJTM credit growth was still slowing down because the company had to reduce non-performing loans so that the NPL remained good. "We also have to expand credit, so this expansion must be much higher than non-performing loans," added Hadi. (LM)
