JAKARTA - PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) plans to conduct a Light Rail Transit (LRT) running test in September. Overall, the progress of LRT phase I with a work value of Rp 22.8 trillion has reached 64.4%.

"At the end of this month, it is targeted that there will be trains coming from INKA. The end of the month it will come and we run a test," said Budi Saddewa Soediro, Director of Operations I Adhi Karya in a press conference. The plan is that the LRT running test will be carried out on an existing route namely from Cibubur to Ciracas.

For information, LRT's progress in the Cawang-Cibubur line reaches 84%, the Cawang-Kuningan-Dukuh line reaches 53.9% and the Cawang-Bekasi Timur line reaches 58.1%.

Budi hopes that by the end of the year there will be 4 train sets that can be delivered by INKA and can be used for tests up to Cawang. Adhi Karya also offered INKA to keep stock of trains on the rails between Cibubur-Ciracas. This storage requires rails along the 2 kilometers. The plan is that 1 track will be used to park the train and the other track for running test. (LM)
