JAKARTA. The trial drilling of 12 wells in the Sukowati Block has produced 10 thousand barrels of oil per day (BOPD) since it was managed by Pertamina EP Asset 4.
Agung Pribadi, Head of the Communications Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, said that the trial was carried out through a concept recommended by the Special Working Unit for Upstream Oil & Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas). "SKK Migas applies the concept of well service through shut-in wells," said Pribadi through an official statement.
As for the cost of drilling, Pribadi stated that it would cost around US$ 500 - US$ 900,000 for each well. 9 of the 12 wells can be turned on, with a production output of around 400 to 2,000 BOPD for each well. (KR/AR)
