JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was closed with a surge of 0.26% or 16.35 points to 6,255 at the end of Friday (23/8). 204 stocks strengthened, 189 dropped, and 148 stagnated.
Sectors with the highest increases include industry (2.92%), manufacturing (0.85%), and mining (0.84%), while sectors with the deepest plunges include infrastructure (-0.71%), plantation (-0.38%), and commerce (-0.09%).
Today’s total trade volume was recorded at 14.97 billion shares with a value of Rp 6.81 trillion, while net foreign sales were recorded at Rp 318.29 billion across all markets. (MS)
