JAKARTA - Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulonprogo is targeted to be completed in December 2019.
"This airport will be completed in December 2019 and then connected with trains which targeted to be completed in 2020, so that next year's Eid it can operate by 100 percent," President Joko Widodo said during a working visit at Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulonprogo, Thursday (29/8)
For information, YIA Airport has an area of 583.80 ha. The airport passenger terminal is 219,000 m2 and can accommodate up to 20 million passengers / year. The runway size is 3250m2 x 45m and is capable of parking 22 narrow body aircraft / 11 wide body aircraft.
President Jokowi said the flight slots would be given a larger portion for overseas flights, so that more tourists were expected to come to Indonesia, especially to Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. (LM)
