JAKARTA. PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST) plans to ask for additional loan of Rp 2.4 trillion to PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), for its working capital and finance its infrastructure projects.
Maria Cesilia, Corporate Secretary of ACST, said that her party prefers debt with affiliated companies because the process is faster. The interest rate is also considered more competitive, and does not require collateral.
"With this loan, it has the potential to increase the number of assets and liabilities of the company and its subsidiaries," Cesilia said as quoted by Kontan on Friday (6/9) today.
With the additional loan, ACST's total debt to UNTR is Rp 4 trillion. Meanwhile, Sara K Loebis, Corporate Secretary of UNTR, admitted that the existence of debt of ACST did not cause any burden on the company's financial performance. "There is no significant impact on UNTR," Loebis said. (KR/AR)
