JAKARTA. PT Mandiri Sekuritas, a subsidiary of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), predicts that eight industrial sectors have the potential to grow in the second half of this year.

Adrian Joezer, Head of Equity Research at Mandiri Sekuritas, said that those sectors include health services, pharmaceuticals, education, creative economy, tourism, infrastructure, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), and telecommunications sector. Some of these sectors, said Joezer, received support in the form of long-term projects that are being worked on by the Indonesian government.

For example the BPJS Kesehatan program, which recently decided to increase its contribution fee by 100% starting in 2020. "There is support from the APBN side next year. There is a plan to increase the premium, so it should be beneficial for the health service sector, "Joezer said.

In addition, Joezer also said that the infrastructure sector still received support from the government. This can be seen from the increase in government spending on infrastructure by 5% in 2020, to Rp 419 trillion. (KR/AR)
