11 September 2019 13:35

JAKARTA - Singapore-based venture capital firm Antler has announced that it will establish an office in Indonesia in the first half of 2020, aiming to nurture at least 20 Indonesian startups every year.

“The programme will be kicked off in the first half of 2020 in Indonesia, and we will start with 50 founders to test it out,” said Antler co-founder and managing partner Jussi Salovaara as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Tuesday (11/9).

Jakarta, added Mr Salovaara, was chosen due to its “large and untapped potential”. The firm is currently looking for an experienced local CEO for its Indonesian office.

“We need top people to run Antler to make sure we find the right leader... It is very critical to choose a local leader,” said Mr Saloovara. (MS)
