JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is scheduled to interrogate PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo (APP) President Director Agung Sedayu in relation to the alleged bribery in the baggage handling system (BHS) procurement project carried out by PT INTI. APP is a subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II (Persero).
“[Mr Sedayu] has been summoned as a witness to suspect AYA (Andra Y. Agussalam),” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah as quoted by Bisnis.com, Friday (13/9).
AP II Finance Director Andra Agussalam allegedly received SG$ 96,700 in bribes from Taswin Nur, whom KPK suspects to be the confidant of an INTI board member, in relation to the BHS procurement project for six airports managed by AP II. The project cost Rp 86 billion.
Mr Agussalam is accused of deliberately directing APP to appoint INTI as the executor of the project without a tender process. In addition, he is also accused of directing a negotiation between APP and INTI to raise the project’s down payment from 15% to 20% as INTI’s initial capital, as well as directing APP Director Wisnu Raharjo to speed up the signing of the contract in order to disburse the payment.
