JAKARTA. Limited visibility due to smog forced Garuda Indonesia to cancel at least 12 flights on Sunday (15/9). The policy is in line with the airline's commitment to always prioritize safety and security.

Vice President Corporate Secretary of Garuda Indonesia, M Ikhsan Rosan, revealed that the decision was made considering the safety and security aspects.

To ensure readiness and safety, a number of Garuda Indonesia flights were also diverted and delayed. "These anticipations have also affected a number of flight rotations. For this reason, we urge passengers to periodically check their flight schedules," Ikhsan explained.

In connection with this, said Ikhsan, his party has also prepared a contingency plan for handling affected flights, including its passengers.

Flights that are canceled until noon today are GA580 / 581 (Jakarta - Samarinda - Jakarta), GA582 / 583 (Jakarta - Samarinda - Jakarta), GA512 / 513 (Jakarta - Pontianak - Jakarta), GA502 / 505 (Jakarta - Pontianak - Jakarta), GA504 / 507 (Jakarta - Pontianak - Jakarta) and GA552 / 553 (Jakarta - Palangkaraya - Jakarta).
