JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) rejected the lawsuit for Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) filed by the Duniatex Group at the Semarang Commercial Court.
Hari Purnomo, Corporate Secretary of BBRI, said that his party rejected the lawsuit because the loans given to Duniatex Group was bilateral. Even so, BBRI has approved the restructuring scheme for the debt.
Total loans provided by BBRI for Duniatex Group reach Rp 1.4 trillion. BRI still expects that Duniatex can recover from its current state and continue the debt payment. (KR/AR)
