JCI closed with 1.82% plunge to 6,219.43

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was closed in the red zone on Monday (16/9) with a drop of 115.40 points or 1.82% to 6,219.43, the steepest since October 11, 2018.

The plunge was driven by 297 stocks that fell, while 122 stocks strengthened and 138 stagnated. Out of 10 sectors, only the mining sector strengthened with a 0.54% hike, while sectors that fell include consumption goods (-6.06%), manufacturing (-3.66%), and finance (-1.62%).

Today’s trade frequency was recorded at 564,954 times with trade volume of 13.57 billion shares and daily transaction value of Rp 8.73 trillion. (MS)
