Ministry of Finance has a budget ceiling of Rp 43.5 trillion for 2020

JAKARTA. On Monday (16/9), Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) held a meeting with the government and approved the budget ceiling of a number of ministries and institutions.

Deputy Chairman of Commission XI, Soepriyatno explained that the meeting approved the budget ceiling of a number of ministries and institutions (K/L), including the budget ceiling and the reallocation of the budget of the Ministry of Finance for 2020 of Rp 43.5 trillion.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said that the Rp 43.5 trillion budget would be used to create prosperity for the people and other purposes, including strengthening the Directorate General of Taxes and Customs. 

Sri Mulyani stated that the reallocation of inter-program budget of Rp 200 billion to the Secretariat General in the context of insurance and facility development.

The Ministry of Finance's budget will be divided for its Echelon I units, namely Secretariat General (Rp 22,585 trillion), Inspectorate General (Rp 107.52 billion), Directorate General of Budget (Rp 124.695 billion), Directorate General of Taxes (Rp 7.943 trillion), Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Rp 3.638 trillion), and Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (Rp.106.42 billion).

Soepriyatno further said that the BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics)'s budget for next year would reach Rp 7.9 trillion, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) has Rp 3.5 trillion, and the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has Rp 1.86 trillion. In addition, the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) has a budget of Rp 1.82 trillion next year, while the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) has Rp 169 billion.
