JAKARTA - PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) plans to conduct a rights issue by issuing 4,660,763,499 series B shares at a price of Rp 100 per share. The decision of the number of shares issued and their price will be decided at the company's Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) which will be held on 2 October 2019.
As quoted from the disclosure of company information, the rights issue is conducted to obtain more funds to support the company's credit expansion. Based on the company's financial statements, in the first half of 2019, Bukopin has disbursed Rp 62.59 trillion of loans, higher than the figure recorded in December 2018 (Rp 62 trillion).
This corporate action will be carried out 12 months after obtaining approval at the latest. (LK/AR)
