JAKARTA - PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk’s (KAEF) Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) on Wednesday (18/9) has appointed Verdi Budidarmo as the company’s new CEO, replacing Honesti Basyir.
Previously Mr Budidarmo served as the company’s Chief Product Officer since April 20, 2017. Meanwhile, Mr Basyir has been appointed by SOE Minister Rini Soemarno as CEO of PT Bio Farma (Persero) as of September 13, 2019.
In addition, Kimia Farma’s EGM also approved the company’s plan to launch a rights issue and revise its articles of association. With the approval of the corporate action, Kimia Farma will soon issue new shares to increase its capital. (MS)
