JAKARTA - PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) expects its healthcare segment to grow by 20% by the end of this year. In the first semester of 2019, this segment contributed Rp 3.37 trillion of total LPKR revenue of Rp.5.30 trillion.
As quoted from the disclosure of company information, LPKR, through its subsidiary, PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SILO) has opened three new hospitals, Siloam Hospitals Palangkaraya (Central Kalimantan), Kelapa Dua Hospital (Banten), and Syubannul Wathon Hospital (Central Java).
Those new hospitals were opened based on predictions that the healthcare industry will continue to grow in the next three years. This is in line with the government's efforts to improve public health through the national health care security (BPJS) program
In the first semester of 2018, healthcare segment generated Rp 2.83 trillion in revenue, and it grew by 18.5% to Rp 3.37 trillion in the same period this year. (LK/AR)
