Garuda Indonesia officially opens Manado-Davao route

JAKARTA - PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) today (27/9) officially inaugurate the Manado - Davao flight route as part of the company's commitment to strengthen regional aviation networks while supporting economic and tourism improvement between Indonesia and the Philippines.

Garuda Indonesia Managing Director Ari Askhara said, "We hope this route could support the development of economic cooperation, investment, trade and tourism activities in the region between Davao as one of the business centers in the southern Philippines with various regions in the province of North Sulawesi.”

Ari also explained that North Sulawesi is one of the 5 super priority destinations by the government. The opening of this route is expected to support the acceleration of the development of Tourism Special Economic Zones (KEK) and infrastructure, especially in a number of leading tourism sectors so as to attract tourists to visit North Sulawesi.

For information, Manado - Davao flights will be operated with ATR 72-600 with a capacity of 70 passengers (all economy class) 2 times per week, namely on Monday and Friday. Manado - Davao flights will operate with flight number GA 7401 which departs from Sam Ratulangi International Airport at 10.30 WITA. While the Davao - Manado flight will operate with flight number GA 7402 which departs from Francisco Bangoy International Airport at 13.15 (local time). (LM)
