Grab launches R&D partnership with Bandung Institute of Technology

BANDUNG - Grab has announced a partnership with Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to carry out research and development (R&D) for electric-based transportation.

As reported by DealStreet Asia, the deal was signed on Tuesday (1/10) and will cover the development of electric-based prototypes as well as the creation of joint R&D publications.

Through the agreement, Grab also officially launched GrabWheels at the university with 50 electric scooters deployed across five locations on campus.

“After being present in many locations in Jabodetabek, we are very happy to bring GrabWheels to Bandung and choose ITB Campus as our first location here,” said Grab Indonesia Executive Director Ongky Kurniawan in an official statement as quoted by IDNFinancials.com. (MS)
