JAKARTA - PT Bank Bukopin Indonesia Tbk (BBKP) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGAS) or PGN have struck a deal to facilitate bailout funds for the payment of gas bills for business and industrial players in Indonesia.

According to Bank Bukopin SME Director Heri Purwanto, the facility is provided by Bank Bukopin to PGN customers to pay gas bills to the latter. The financing scheme is expected to help smooth the operations of business and industrial players and manage their cash flows better.

“Bank Bukopin expects that this partnership, aside from increasing customer loyalty, will also benefit many parties, including PGN, which will ensure timely payments from its customers due to advanced installments from Bank Bukopin,” said Mr Purwanto in an official statement, Tuesday (1/10).

The facility, Mr Purwanto added, is given in the form of non-cash loans with a term determined in accordance with Bank Bukopin’s analysis. The bank also has several requirements regarding the facility, such as a three-way partnership agreement between Bank Bukopin, PGN, and the debtor which is required to be a PGN customer. (MS)
