SOLO - PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Jawa Tengah or Bank Jateng has paid dividends amounting to Rp 49 billion to the Solo municipal government. The amount is the company’s total dividends accumulated over the last few years.

“The amount is well above our target. We probably have the highest dividends among regionally-owned enterprises,” said Bank Jateng’s Solo Branch Manager Aris Setyawan in an official statement, Monday (7/10).

This year, Mr Setyawan added, Bank Jateng paid dividends of Rp 8.67 billion to the Solo municipal government, higher than the 2018 dividends of Rp 7.87 billion. The amount of dividends paid by the company is 20%-26% of its total capital.

“In total, the [Solo] municipal government gave us Rp 38.544 billion in capital. Rp 18.649 billion was sourced from the government’s treasury, and the rest was sourced from Bank Jateng’s profit and returned as capital,” said Mr Setyawan. (MS)
