Bumi Resources Minerals to commence trial production from Palu gold mine in Q4

PALU - PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) has announced the completion of the construction of its production facility in the Poboya gold mine in Palu, Central Sulawesi. The company targets to commence trial production from the mine  in the fourth quarter of 2019.

“We expect to commission our production facility soon. Hopefully, trial production from our Poboya mine site can commence in the fourth quarter of 2019 as scheduled,” said BRMS CEO Suseno Kramadibrata in an official statement obtained by IDNFinancials.com, Monday (7/10).

According to the statement, the Poboya gold mine has 3.9 million tonnes of ore reserves and 7.9 million tonnes of ore resources. The company operates the mine through its subsidiary PT Citra Palu Minerals, which in total operates over 85,180 hectares of gold mine concession in Central and South Sulawesi.

BRMS estimates that production from the Poboya mine will reach 100,000 tonnes of ore in the first year. The amount is expected to increase to 180,000 tonnes of ore in the second year. (MS)
