JAKARTA - Fintech company PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia has further increased its ownership in PT Bank Yudha Bhakti Tbk (BBYB).
As of September 2019, Akulaku owns a 24.08% stake in BBYB, after having previously owned 18.95% as of June.
According to information compiled by Bisnis Indonesia, since the start of 2019 Akulaku has continuously upped its stake in BBYB. So far, no decision has been made by the bank’s shareholders in relation to Akulaku’s plan to become a controlling shareholder.
“Regarding Akulaku’s plan to become a controlling shareholder, we have not made any decision because it is still being discussed,” BBYB Corporate Secretary Januar Arifin told Bisnis Indonesia, Wednesday (9/10).
Until the end of the year, Mr Arifin added, there is no guarantee whether BBYB will carry out a follow-up corporate action in relation to Akulaku’s ownership in the bank. (MS)
