Solusi Bangun Indonesia is promoting its new Dynamix brand

JAKARTA. PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) has officially changed its Holcim cement brand to Dynamix on 27 September 2019. Director of SMCB, Agung Wiharto, stated that the company is now promoting the new brand.

The brand was changed after SMCB was acquired by PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR). After the acquisition, the name Holcim or Lafarge as a global brand, which is still owned by Lafarge Holcim Group, can no longer be used by Semen Indonesia Group. However, SMGR is still given time until the end of 2019 to use Holcim brand.

Now, SMCB continues to introduce the Dynamix brand. Meanwhile, SMCB decided not to change its Andalas cement brand, since Andalas cement has had quite a strong influence on the local market.

According to Agung, an internal promotion was carried out by introducing the Dynamix brand to all SMCB employees. This promotion also involves socializing the reasons why the Holcim brand was changed to Dynamix. He hopes that employees will be able to introduce the Dynamix brand to at least their colleagues. 

While promotion to external parties is done by holding roadshows to big cities. This roadshow was conducted by inviting hundreds of shop owners and retail traders. In addition, SMCB also went directly to socialize Dynamix cement to distributors and contractors, Agung said as quoted by Kontan.co.id recently.

SMCB is currently also focusing on distributing Dynamix cement in Indonesia. However, according to Agung, for now, the largest market share is still centred on Java. "Because our factory is in Java, including in Tuban, Cilacap, and Narogong (Bogor)," he continued. (AM/AR)
