JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is collaborating with Bank Indonesia, Ministries and Financial Services Business Actors (PUJK) to reach the financial inclusion target of 75 percent by the end of 2019.

One form of synergy is to hold a National Inclusion Month during October which runs throughout Indonesia by involving Regional Offices / OJK Offices in collaboration with PUJK branch offices and stakeholders in the regions.

Some of the programs carried out are campaigns and socialization related to financial inclusion as well as various sales of financial products / service incentives such as discounts, bonuses, rewards, cashback and special promos in October.

"In supporting the achievement of financial inclusion targets, active collaboration between regulator and PUJK is needed. This is important to support each other in increasing financial literacy and encouraging people to use financial products and services," said OJK Board of Commissioners Member of the Consumer Protection Education Group Tirta Segara .

In addition to the financial inclusion target of 75%, the government is also targeting a financial literacy rate of 35% by 2019. (LM)
