Ministry of BUMN dismissed the President Director of PT INTI

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises BUMN dismissed Darman Mappangara as the President Director of PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) (INTI) after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named him as a suspect in the airport baggage project case.

"The Board of Commissioners has also appointed  Finance Director of PT INTI, Tri Hartono Rianto, as the Acting President Director until the appointment of the definitive President Director by the company's shareholders," said the Acting Head of Corporate Secretary Division of PT INTI (Persero), Gde Pandit Andika Wicaksono, as quoted by Tempo.co.

The dismissal of Darman was decided by the Ministry of BUMN with the issuance of SK-213/MBU/10/2019 on 4 October 2019. The letter contained the dismissal of Darman Mappangara as President Director of PT INTI.

Gde said that the Ministry of BUMN dismissed Darman so that he could focus on resolving his legal problems, as well as to create a conducive business environment for the company.

"The appointment of the Acting President Director is done to execute various strategic agendas that have been set, as well as the company's full commitment to the completion of work, fulfilment of product needs for consumers, as well as execution of all strategic cooperation so that they will keep going and achieved according to plan, while still meeting applicable regulations," he said.

Previously, Darman Mappangara was suspected to bribe Finance Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Andra Y. Agussalam, so that his company could get a number of projects from AP II (Persero). (LK/AR)
