Co-working space continues to grow in Jakarta

JAKARTA - Data from Jones Lang Lasalle IP shows that co-working space in Jakarta continues to grow. The co-working space market is dominated by Co-Hive, WeWork and GoWork.

For information, 81% of co-working space is located in the Central Business District (CBD) and the remaining 19% is located in non-CBD. Then, 89% of the co-working space is located in office buildings.

The five largest co-working operators in Jakarta are CoHive (29%), WeWork (19%), GoWork Indonesia (12%), Regus (8%), Marquee (5%) and others (27%).

Total flexible space stock in the third quarter is 212,000 square meters, up 24% from the previous quarter. Based on the expansion area in the third quarter, Kuningan area still dominates with a total area of ​​30,000 square meters.

Whereas co-working space in non-CBD areas is dominated by GoWork and Ko + Labora. Two regions that are intensively expanding co-working space are North Jakarta and Central Jakarta. (LM)
