JAKARTA. The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) will be held on 11 November 2019, postponed from the previous schedule of Friday, 18 October 2019. The EGMS was postponed due to the letter from the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (2014-2019), Rini Soemarno.

In the disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), BBTN management stressed that the company's EGMS was postponed.

"But, as a follow up to the letter of the Minister of SOEs [Rini Soemarno], the EGMS will be held on Monday, 11 November 2019," said the BBTN management, which was represented by Directors of BTN, Budi Satire and R Mahelan Prabantarikso in a letter sent to the IDX, as quoted by CNBC Indonesia on Sunday (20/10/2019). The agenda at the EGMS will still be a change in the company's management.

In a letter sent by the Minister of SOEs, represented by Deputy of Financial ServicesSurvey, and Consulting Businesses, Gatot Trihargo, the Ministry of SOEs requested the EGMS to be postponed to no later than 27 November 2019.

The main agenda of the EGMS was to appoint a president director, after Suprajarto stated that he was not willing to fill the position. Suprajarto was previously asked by the Ministry of SOEs to move from his previous position as President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) to become President Director of BTN.
