JAKARTA. PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA) exports all the ammonia it produced to a number of countries, due to oversupply in the domestic market.
"There are quite a lot of ammonia products in the country," said Chander Vinod Laroya, Vice President Director of ESSA, when met by idnfinancials.com yesterday.
Laroya explained that his company had exported as much as 384,185 Metric Tons (MT) of ammonia during the first semester of 2019. Meanwhile, the company's production realization reached 377,185 MT, or 2.04% higher than the company's designed capacity. "This (ammonia factory) uses the latest technology in the world," explained Laroya.
ESSA's export destinations including Korea, Japan, China, and Australia.
For information, ESSA generated US$ 116.88 million in revenue during the first semester of this year. Most of the company's revenue came from ammonia sales, which reached US$ 96.98 million. (KR/AR)
