JAKARTA. As of Q3 2019, PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk. has generated Rp 2.2 trillion in net profit, or grew by 9% on an annual basis (year-on-year / YoY) due to higher non-interest income.
According to its expose, OCBC NISP recorded a 47.4% growth on an annual basis (YoY) in its non-interest operating income to Rp 1.43 trillion. Meanwhile, the company's net interest income fell by 0.2% to Rp 4.77 trillion in the same period.
OCBC NISP also recorded growth in third party funds (DPK) of 11.4% YoY to Rp132 trillion. The DPK growth is supported by the increase in the composition of low-cost funds (CASA), the ratio of which currently reaches 38% of the total third-party funds. Meanwhile, OCBC NISP's total assets grow by 7% yoy to Rp175 Trillion.
President Director of OCBC NISP, Parwati Surjaudaja said that the optimization of digital initiatives to provide easier, more convenient and simpler banking services for customers had a positive impact on Bank OCBC NISP's performance. This is especially reflected in the growth of deposits and non-interest income. (AM/AR)
